Kids in Worship
This may sound incredibly obvious to some of you, but I learned to love going to church… by going to church. And I believe that the kids at Church of Our Saviour will learn to love going to church by going to church as well. So, to that end, we are beginning to include our children in our regular Sunday morning worship service in an intentional way beginning this Sunday, August 26. On the fourth Sunday of each month at our 10 a.m. service, rather than attending their regular Children’s Chapel in Allen Hall, the kids of COS will join the main congregation for the first 10 or 15 minutes of our worship service. They will process in as a part of our opening procession, sit together at the front of the church, be a part of the opening prayers, and engage in a special “children’s message” directed especially to them. After that, they will process out to Sunday School, and the rest of our worship service will continue with our regular readings.
I am delighted to include our children more intentionally in worship here at COS. Please greet them this Sunday, and let them know how much you appreciate their presence with us in church on the fourth Sunday of each month.
