Teaching the practice of Centering Prayer is the foundation of
our Contemplative Life ministry. The tendency of the mind is to
be active and attached to its own cognition and affect. Centering
Prayer was developed to facilitate the movement from affective
prayer to deep meditation into contemplation. The practice of Centering Prayer is taught by highly qualified instructors in an Introductory Program consisting of a Saturday workshop with evening follow-up sessions.
