On May 6 your Parish Profile Committee (PPC) was commissioned at morning services. The group comprises Joshua Alvarenga, Meredith Brucker, Nancy Duling, Katherine Feng, Ben Harrington, Eric Miller, Maureen Sprunger, and Charlotte Van Fleet. The chair is Paul Kilian.
Charged with developing a document to assist the Rector Search Committee in explaining to potential candidates exactly who we are as the Church of Our Saviour, the PPC’s first task is to gather feedback from every parishioner regarding the church’s strengths and its challenges as well as where we have been, our hopes and dreams for the future, and the qualities we are seeking in a new rector.
A three-page Questionnaire is being developed which will be made available soon to every COS attendee to fill out. More details will be forthcoming. In the meantime please save the following dates and plan to attend the forums and workshops designed to help you to share your knowledge about and wishes for the future of COS.
Sunday, July 8, 9:00 a.m. Forum: “Understanding the Parish Profile Process” Overview and discussion of sample questions.
Saturday, July 14, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 in Cleaver Hall, followed by lunch. “Sharing Our Story, History Day,” facilitated by Fr. Bob Honeychurch. Sign up in the patio on Sunday.
Saturday, July 21 – exact times to be determined, in Cleaver Hall, followed by lunch: “What We Do Well and Beyond,” facilitated by Tom Shenk. Sign up in the patio on Sunday.
Sunday, July 29, 9:00 a.m. Forum: “Completing the Parish Survey” – Clarification/assistance in filling out the Questionnaire.
