a place of wonder
and exploration
Developmentally oriented,
nestled among beautiful
gardens, and staffed
with talented and imaginative
teachers, A Child’s
Garden School is a place
of wonder and exploration
for every child.
our philosophy
The Garden School is a wonderful place to enhance the growth and development of your child. Children are encouraged to learn and explore in a loving environment. Our program is designed to nurture the cognitive, social-emotional and motor development of your child. We support the development of peer-to-peer relationships that nourish your child’s self-concept.
A Child’s Garden School sits on the campus of Church of Our Saviour and is an outreach of the church’s ministries. It is a five-day accredited preschool offering a rich environment where each child can grow and develop at his or her own pace. The school is certified by the National Association of Episcopal Schools.
our program
Children are placed in small classes where
the excellent teacher-child ratio allows
individual attention and opportunity for
small and large group play. The beautiful
Church of Our Saviour campus and
the school’s three play yards provide a
variety of child-oriented spaces for running,
climbing, sand and water play, and
the mastering of wheel toys. Inside the
school, group meetings, music, stories,
and snack time are part of the daily routine.
Manipulatives, pretend play, creative
art, texture play, puzzles and language
experiences are offered in an open-ended
manner in each room.
All of our classes
are designed to foster the classes' individual
learning. We reach out and encourage
children to find their own
learning style through the
developmental process.
Age-appropriate curriculum
is planned to help children
build concepts and ready
them for the academic
world.
Child-oriented, nondenominational chapel services are held once a week.
The school is open to
children between the
ages of 2 years 9 months
(who are able to use the
bathroom on their own)
to Pre-K, up to 5 years of
age. The school welcomes
children without regard
to race, religion, national
origin or ethnicity.

highlights of our year
Some special days of celebration and learning enrich our school year. Examples include our Teddy Bear parade, ice days, family and friends day, and our annual Christmas pageant.
Families look forward to our Pumpkin Patch in October– we sell pumpkins, of course, but also have games, food, face painting, and lots of fun. Our annual Pancake Breakfast is a fun time to meet other families and support our school.
enrichment classes
We offer dance, art as afternoon enrichment classes and gross motor classes during our regular morning schedule. Art and dance require a small fee.
